At The Aptos Academy, we believe that every child has a strong natural desire to learn, and the right to exercise that desire. We introduce the child to a proper study technology and encourage good study habits. We believe that the child's desire to learn must not be suppressed or smothered by incompetent teaching, a distractive study atmosphere, or duress. We believe that each child is a unique individual and should be able to proceed at a pace suited to his or her own abilities, talents, and interests; and each child needs to develop the ability to observe, think, and express his or her thoughts clearly.
